If you love carrot cake, then you’ll love this oh-so-simple Carrot and Chia Bircher Muesli recipe.  And, being sugar free this is a whole lot kinder on your body.

Because none of us have time to waste in the morning I’ve kept the measuring of the ingredients as straightforward as possible – you don’t even need scales!  This recipe is so easy to make I can throw it together in the last couple of minutes before the school run and it’s nicely soaked and ready to eat by the time I’m back home again.


  • 3 dessertspoons of gluten free porridge oats
  • 2 dessertspoons of chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 small carrot grated
  • 2 dessertspoons sultanas
  • 1 dessertspoon sunflower seeds
  • 150ml almond milk


Combine all the dry ingredients in a dessert bowl then add the milk and stir well.  Cover and leave for 30 minutes or, if you want to be really organised you can leave it in the fridge overnight.
